I can run, I can ruuuunnnnnnn!!!!

Ok, I know it was a few days early but I had to know. So I ran. I went out Saturday to run a couple of miles and ended up running 4. Sunday I got up and had no pain in my calf but man my legs were telling me it had been a month since I last ran. I did a lot of stretching and decided an easy 2.5 miles would knock the rust off from my Saturday run.

I know I have a little extra bounce in my step today. Best of all that nagging voice in the back of my head has gone quiet. You know the one telling me my season would be over because my calf wouldn't be right again this year.

I'M BACK!!! Not as fast as I was but none the less I'm back!

Hey Craig,

Haven't checked in for a while...

How goes the running and the recovery?

Craig!!! Good to see some mileage on the training record.

How are things going for you?

Hey Koda!

Things are good. Yes mileage has started to build again. Base training 2010 has begun.

How's your off season going? Things slowing down for you finally?

I'll get a new post out soon. Not sure how much I'm going to keep this up this year. I know that will disappoint you and my other reader, lol

Off-season?!?

My last race in 2009 was the Silverman down in Las Vegas. I did the half iron distance, and it kicked my butt. It was a very humbling experience, but I think that was all for the best.

I'm actually just finishing up my final set of base training, and then I move on to the tough stuff. I've got my first IronMan in 95 days, and it's getting waaaaay to close for comfort.

Don't worry too much about keeping the blog updated... I'll be sure and bug you from time to time if you don't though :-)

So do you have any races planned out for the coming year?
